Often on this site I talk about Personal Trainer Marketing, Starting a Personal Training Business, Personal Trainer Websites etc. and I forget that we actually TRAIN people too! So even though you might know this sort of stuff, here are a few workouts that you can put your clients through to really work them up, excite their workouts and increase client retention
So here we go…
“Ladders” Workout
Choose 6 – 10 exercises, can be anything you want, get client to do exercise 1 for 3o seconds with 30 seconds rest. Then Exercise 1 and 2 both for 30 seconds with 30 second rest, then exercises 1, 2 and 3 back to back each for 30 seconds with just 30 seconds rest, and so on. It gets really tough later on and kettlebells are good to use in this mode of exercise, just make sure you are certified to use them
“Timed” Workout
Choose a 4 station circuit e.g. Dumbell Clean and Press, Renegade Row, Burpees, Swiss Ball Roll Outs get your client to complete the circuit as fast as they can with good form, give them 20 seconds rest and get them to try and beat their time, do this 3 – 5 times
“Upper, Lower, Cardio, Core” Workout
Have your client do an Upper Body Exercise, a Lower body exercise, 4 minutes of hard cardio and then a core exercise, then repeat 3 – 5 times, should take an hour
